The Polar Bear Foundation is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2019 Dr. Brian M. Small Polar Bear Foundation Scholarships.  This year’s recipients are Olivia Falck, Michael Ginder and Amber Swaisgood with each receiving a $1,000.00 scholarship award.  Olivia is the daughter of Brian and Kelly Falck and plans to attend the University of Richmond with a dual major in Physics and Environmental Studies.  Michael is the son of Cathy Ginder and plans to attend Liberty University to major in Financial Planning.  Amber is the daughther of Roy and Diane Swaisgood.  She plans to attend Messiah College to major in Graphic Design.

Since 2012, the Polar Bear Foundation has awarded $1,000 scholarships to two graduating seniors. A third scholarship was added this year, thanks to additional sponsorship support from Klein Dental Associates. Each applicant was asked to provide a 250+ word essay explaining why community service is important to them along with a history of their service activities.  The PBF Selection Committee evaluated each application with consideration given to the content, form, grammar, neatness and presentation of the letter/essay.   Congratulations and Best Wishes to these three students as they prepare for their college endeavors.  For more information on the Polar Bear Foundation Scholarship, please click here.
