Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program (EITC)

Did you know your support of the Polar Bear Foundation can bring a 75% or 90% tax credit to your business?

The Pennsylvania Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) Program provides state tax credits to eligible businesses that contribute to the Polar Bear Foudation. A business approved for a tax credit will receive 90 percent of the contribution if the business agrees to provide the same amount of contribution for two consecutive years. The tax credit is valued at 75 percent for a one-year contribution.

EITC contributions support the students of the Northern York County School District. Among the items funded in recent years through EITC grants are I-pads for classroom instruction; equipment for chemistry labs; reading books for elementary-aged students; and full support of the District's Artist-in-Residence program.  By donating to the Polar Bear Foundation through EITC, you are supporting public education and keeping state tax dollars in our local community.
